The e-LWR, or electronic lab work request application, was developed to replace a
legacy system that had been custom-programmed. It was decided to develop an
application that could be made accessible to our external sales engineers, so late in
1999, we began to develop what has grown to be the e-LWR.
The e-LWR is the application used internally by plasticolors personnel to enter work
requests that are submitted to our on-site colormatch and analytical laboratory.
Projects can be created with up to six types of tasks that are available to be added
to the project, and there can be any number of tasks in any given project.
The task types that are available are: Analytical, Application, Colormatch, Development,
Research, and Weathering.
Upon receipt of a new project, our Sales and Technical Service groups review them to determine
whether we can fulfill the requirements of the project. If the project is accepted, it will be put
onto the schedule with a tentative date of completion and assigned to the appropriate personnel
who will perform the needed tasks.
The e-LWR provides easy, anytime access to Plasticolors laboratories by our personnel and our
customers. At this time, we have a select group of customers who are using this resource.
If you are a Plasticolors customer, and would like access to the e-LWR, please send an email to
Edward Capp, ecapp@plasticolors.com. If you are not currently a Plasticolors customer,
please visit our website, www.plasticolors.com, and let us show you how Plasticolors can make
a difference in your color.
